I like your tribute to Barbara Miller Solomon here. She was an amazing pioneer. But, she did not &quot;begin&quot; the Schlesinger Library on the History of Women in America. She was its second director between 1960-1965.  The archive dates back to 1942. 
I love the anecdote you offer about Peter Solomon&#039;s business card, &quot;House Husband.&quot; I wonder if any survived in her papers.
