The machatunim are about to meet
Machatunim is a yiddish word that describes the relationship between in-laws (the parents of both people in a couple)
We're about to go pick up Stacey's folks at the airport. My parents are already here. My sister was super sweet and organized a little engagement party for us.

Depends on which kind of Yiddish accent your family has, but New York Galitzianers say it a bit like "muck-uh-TUN-im".
